Wild Life Academy is family run – operated by recreation, outdoor adventure, and fitness & nutrition professionals Jillian & Jason, along with their fantastic team of facilitators, leaders, and associates. Jillian and Jason are thoroughly involved in Wild Life programs and services and can often be found front and center with virtually every adventure.

Jillian is the co-director at Wild Life Academy with a focus on special events planning, health and wellness consulting, fitness & nutrition coaching, and inclusion services.
Jillian graduated from a Georgian college Recreation and Tourism Management program. She is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and has acquired accreditation with CanFitPro’s Personal Training Specialist, and as a Fitness Kickboxing Specialist Instructor & Master Trainer through Fitness Kickboxing Canada. Jillian’s continuing education has also brought her through numerous other fitness accreditation and training courses.
Jillian has been a successful competitive athlete in gymnastics, baseball, snowboarding, cheerleading, and long distance running. She has been additionally competitive in kickboxing, MMA, and boxing, holding the title as two time provincial kickboxing champion. An OCR enthusiast, Jillian has qualified and competed in the World OCR Championship.
Jillian has motivated countless people to make fitness, health, and wellness a focus in their daily lives. She continues to support athletes in taking their abilities to the next level and reaching their goals. She enjoys encouraging people of all ages and abilities to reach their potential and enjoy the journey.

Jason is the co-director at Wild Life Academy with a focus on team building and recreation consulting, challenge course & climbing, escape games, and adventure programs.
Having had amazing experiences at camps and with outdoor adventure opportunities in his youth, Jason began working at camps in high school, evolving into leadership and director positions. Along the way, he took most every opportunity to advance his knowledge and experience through working at outdoor centres, cross country ski centres, conservation areas, volunteering with special needs groups, guiding hiking and paddling expeditions, and was brought on as an assistant faculty in the outdoor recreation program he was studying in College.
Graduating from Seneca college’s Outdoor Recreation Technician program, Jason went on to study business at Sir Sandford Flemming college. Jason’s continuing education has provided him numerous opportunities to advance his personal experience and accreditation in outdoor skills and leadership. He has spoken at camps, schools, and conferences about leadership, adventure education, and nature programming. He trains recreational and experiential leaders, and facilitates hundreds of students, professionals, and recreationists each year through WLA’s various programs.
Jason has spent over 20 years providing experiential learning opportunities, including work at camps & schools, with behavioral youth, special needs groups, corporate teams, children and adults throughout Ontario and beyond. Jason is very proud of the services and experiential learning that Wild Life Academy provides.
