CAMP NEWS:

Find camp photos, get updates & reminders, and check out other fun stuff on our dedicated Wild Life Camp Instagram and/or Facebook pages (you don’t need an account to view).

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP:

Drop Off 8:30-9:00am – Please avoid arriving early and do not enter the parking lot until after 8:30am (to allow our early morning clients to exit, to help reduce congestion on the road for our camp neighbours, and to allow our arriving team members access to the entrance). During drop-off (and pick-up) we ask that you remain patiently in your vehicle with your camper/s, we will approach your vehicle for daily check-in (this helps reduce congestion in our drop-off area and encourages a quick transition for nervous campers). If you arrive after 9am, please look for the ‘Late Arrival’ sign for instructions and remain at your vehicle with your camper/s until a camp staff arrives for check-in.

Pick Up 3:30-4:00pm – Please be sure to pick up your camper/s from 3:30-4:00pm.  Pick-up is to be completed before 4:00pm.

Emergency After Care – We can accommodate just-in-case emergency after care until 4:30pm, charges may apply ($10 after 4:00pm, $1/minute after 4:10pm, per camper).  We are not available for camper care before 8:30am or after 4:30pm.

LOCATIONS – protected address access can be found at the bottom of this page.

DAILY GEAR LIST:

Please do not omit non-optional items from our list, label all of your items, and provide only items that can get messy. We recommend you pack with your camper so they are aware of their items and the locations in their backpack.

WEARING AT ARRIVAL, DAILY:

  • loose fitting pants, long sleeve shirt, & long socks (we want to ensure daily that campers have adequate bug bite, sting, scratch, and scrape protection)
  • fully enclosed running shoes that can get wet (absolutely NO open holes, sandals, or flip flops – to prevent foot stabbing sticks and other injuries)
  • hat (for sun protection)

BACKPACK & LUNCH KIT:

  • Nut-free & Garbage-less lunch & snacks (see ‘Lunches & Snacks’ below)
  • 2 full reusable water bottles (no disposables please)
  • waterPROOF rain jacket (no ponchos/disposables)
  • shorts & t-shirt (in addition to the long pants/sleeves)
  • long extra socks (full ankle coverage for bite/sting protection)
  • warm sweater or jacket (cold is no fun)
  • other weather appropriate clothing as needed (i.e. cold days)
  • sunscreen, bug spray (or equivalent protection)
  • splash pants (optional, but essential at Wilderness Week*)
  • extra fully enclosed shoes (optional, as a dry alternative)
  • head bug net (available at dollar stores, we have lenders as needed)
  • swimsuit & towel, water shoes (optional, for water games on hot days)
  • any other extras your child may need (i.e. underwear)
  • NO knives or bladed tools

*Wilderness Week campers will experience more intense environments with greater potential for exposure to poison ivy, thorns & nettles, bees & wasps, and wet & rainy conditions – full body clothing coverage and rain gear will be essential.

LUNCHES & SNACKS:

Please provide your camper/s a Nut-free (meaning and including all nuts, tree nuts, pistachios, & peanuts) and Garbage-less cold lunch and morning and afternoon snacks, along with full reusable water bottles.  Please remove packaging at home and ensure your camper can open/close their containers.
